CISA orders feds to patch actively exploited Oracle flaw by Saturday

Back to all postsThe Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) in the United States has issued a directive for federal agencies to patch an actively exploited vulnerability in Oracle WebLogic Server by this Saturday, March 13th, 2021. The flaw, identified as CVE-2021-27065, is being aggressively used in zero-day attacks that exploit the Remote Code Execution (RCE) feature of the system. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to businesses worldwide, including those in Canada, as it allows attackers to take control of affected systems remotely without any need for user interaction. To protect against this threat, Canadian SMB owners and IT managers should urgently apply the patch provided by Oracle or implement temporary workarounds until a permanent fix is available.
