CISA urges immediate action on actively exploited Fortinet flaws
July 16, 2026
Back to all postsThe Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has issued an urgent alert regarding multiple vulnerabilities in Fortinet's FortiOS, FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, Forti Sandbox, FortiClient, and FortiWeb products. These flaws are currently being actively exploited by malicious actors, posing a significant threat to businesses across Canada. The affected software versions range from 5.6.x through 6.2.x for FortiOS, and various other versions for the other affected products. If left unpatched, these vulnerabilities could potentially lead to remote code execution, allowing attackers to take control of network devices, steal data, or disrupt services. Given the active exploitation of these vulnerabilities, Canadian SMB owners and IT managers are strongly advised to update their systems as soon as possible.
